In 1975, 5 young photographers founded Blue Sky Gallery, the Oregon Center for the Photographic Arts. The inspiration behind the conceptual rebrand was a modern spin on Blue Sky’s history and heritage. In order to retain the historic meaning of their original mark, I paired their classic black and blue with a bold, modern typeface. The mark can be simplified into 4 half circles on promotional material in order to promote shows without distracting from the photographers work.
